Talk, Learn, Do in Scotland Evaluation
ScotCen Social Research and Children in Scotland have been funded by the Money and Pensions Service to carry out an evaluation of Talk, Learn, Do – an evidence based financial capability intervention that aims to improve parents’ confidence and skills to talk to and teach their children about money.
Talk, Learn, Do in Scotland is being delivered as a two-hour interactive session for parents and carers of children aged 3-11. These sessions are being delivered by practitioners who work with and support parents and families.
Why is this research being carried out?
ScotCen and Children in Scotland will carry out an independent evaluation of Talk, Learn, Do to find out the difference the programme is making for people who take part. One of the aims of the project is to test the feasibility of making this training available nationwide so we want to know how useful it has been. ScotCen is collecting information about Talk, Learn, Do from practitioners who receive training and parents who take part in Talk, Learn, Do using online surveys and interviews.
