Evaluation of the Youth COVID-19 Support Fund

The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has asked NatCen Social Research (NatCen) to carry out research with youth organisations who have received a grant from the Youth COVID-19 Support Fund.

About the Evaluation of the Youth COVID-19 Support Fund

With COVID-19 having an unprecedented impact on young people and the youth sector, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) announced a £16.5 million Youth Covid-19 Support Fund in November 2020. The aim of the Fund is to enable youth organisations to continue operating in the short-term and to preserve the ecosystem of the sector in coming years.

DCMS has asked NatCen Social Research (NatCen) to carry out research with youth organisations who have received a grant from the Youth COVID-19 Support Fund. The aim is to understand whether and how the Fund helped youth organisations and what worked well and less well. To do so, we will speak to people from the youth organisations who received a grant from the Fund and to the organisations who delivered the Fund.

Why take part?

This study will help DCMS to better understand how to support youth organisations during the COVID-19 pandemic and in the future. Your views are key to this evaluation and we look forward to hearing about your experiences of the Fund.
