Student placements and internships
We encourage student placements and internships and acknowledges the benefits they can bring to the organisation. The purpose of an internship or student placement is to provide an individual with an opportunity to learn from practical work experience in a real business environment. These experiences usually form part of a degree or masters programme and students are expected to gain experience within an organisation relevant to their area of study.
There are differences between student placements and internships and the key aspects are outlined in the table below:

All internships and student placements will be advertised on the 'job opportunities' section of our website and in other appropriate outlets.
Interns and students can expect to have access to our learning and development opportunities and may well have their own programme to work to. The extent of this programme will vary depending on the length of the placement but should always include a varied experience of working life at ScotCen (by varied work projects, shadowing of colleagues or visits to other parts of the business).
