Lucy has been a Senior Researcher at ScotCen for nearly a year leading on the Realigning Children’s Services (RCS) project including the delivery of a large scale web-survey in schools into children’s wellbeing and quota sampling surveys as well as working on SSA, BSA and smaller scale mixed methods projects.
She has previously managed quantitative and qualitative research projects in the criminal justice and media consumer sector and with families and children. Her experience includes study design, analysis of administrative and survey data and ethnographic research.
She previously worked as Research Manager for the Rehabilitation for Addicted Prisoner’s Trust where she led on the undertaking of outcome evaluations of interventions aimed at reducing reoffending and publishing academic and policy papers.
She has published research in internationally acclaimed journals and was awarded ‘Outstanding Paper of the Year’ for a study published in the Journal of Criminal Psychology in 2014.
She has also worked as a Senior researcher for a media research consultancy at the University of Sussex, Sussex Innovation Centre.
