Jackie Palmer

Jackie Palmer

Data Manager (Longitudinal)

ScotCen

Jackie Palmer joined ScotCen as a Data Manager in March 2012, and since then has worked mainly on the Scottish Health Survey, and more recently on Growing Up in Scotland, as well as several smaller projects in a data management capacity.

Before joining ScotCen, Jackie worked for over 25 years at the University of Edinburgh, latterly for ten years as Fieldwork Manager on the Edinburgh Study of Youth Transitions and Crime, where she was involved in the project from questionnaire design through data collection to delivering SPSS datasets for analysis.

Jackie was also involved, in an administrative position, in both the scoping study and Phase 1, for the Applied Quantitative Methods Network, within the University of Edinburgh.

It was while working there that Jackie also worked closely with several members of the current ScotCen team, and thanks to that, was able to settle in to her new position remarkably quickly.
