Clare Littleford joined NatCen in April 2015 as a Senior Researcher in the Longitudinal team, working on the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing (ELSA).
Before working for NatCen, Clare was a researcher at UCL, working on research projects examining local authority public health policy and implementation, and the use of heat energy in households. She gained her PhD from Loughborough University, with a thesis exploring differences in the psychology of energy use in local authority office buildings and in people’s own homes. Clare’s research interests include environmental and health behaviours and attitudes, using both quantitative and qualitative research methods but with a particular focus on survey data collection and analysis.
Prior to becoming a researcher, Clare was a community development worker in the voluntary sector and for local authorities.
